We are pleased that Monique Ritter would like to report on her dissertation research on racist exclusion practices in outpatient care.

She describes her research as follows:

'I'm actually open-minded, but...' - On the reconstruction of racist exclusion practices in professional (non-)cooperation with migrantized others'

In my dissertation research, I dealt with the situation - "after the long summer of migration" in 2015 - that migrantized others encounter in the working context of outpatient care when they want to work professionally in this field.
In my research practice, I work according to grounded theory, whereby my focus is on the "second generation", GT after the postmodern turn (situation analysis according to Adele Clarke) and reflexive GT (according to Breuer, Muckel, Dieris). Due to the currently manifest non-cooperation and - as interpreted by me - racist exclusionary practices as the phenomena dominating the situation, a perspective critical of racism has emerged in the course of the research and a focus on the analysis of the white perspective.

As part of the research colloquium, I would like to present my research topic and the research methodology in more detail, put it up for discussion and present initial results.
