Research focus on energy and the environment

Reliable, affordable and environmentally friendly

This is how energy supply should be. This is why the employees in this research focus area are involved in interdisciplinary joint projects. Central topics are the generation and provision of energy with regard to resource conservation, environmental protection and climate neutrality.

The scientists at the HSZG tackle energy and environmental problems on the basis of long-established expertise. The spectrum ranges from the optimization of power plant processes to automation technology and biotechnology.

In addition, interdisciplinary research groups are investigating the social aspects and acceptance problems of the energy transition.
