The university's research activities are organized to a large extent in In-Institutes. These are organizational associations of several university lecturers - thematically focused and often from different faculties. The directors of the institutes are equally involved in the processes of academic self-organization (service consultations), which ensures the organizational integration of research.
The implementation of research projects by university lecturers is not necessarily linked to cooperation in institutes, but is also directly assigned to the faculties. There are good examples of how interdisciplinary collaboration and supervision of junior researchers can also be achieved in this way.
