Skills development for those interested in starting a business

Many new CHALLENGES await anyone interested in founding a company during the pre-foundation process. We have listed the most important ones below:

COMPETENCES

To be able to act appropriately as a founder, you need the right COMPETENCES in addition to relevant knowledge.

You can use the KODE® procedure on the career portal for skills development to determine the extent to which you already have these start-up-relevant skills. The test is based on a self-assessment of your skills and shows you which skills you can develop further in order to be optimally prepared for self-employment. Based on your personal evaluation, you will also receive tailored support from the career service.

FORMS OF LEARNING

In order to develop skills, we recommend LEARNING IN A PROTECTED ENVIRONMENT (e.g. workshops & pilot projects) with the support of a mentor. In this way, start-up-relevant methods and tools can be practiced and mistakes can be reflected upon. In order to develop skills, it is important to want to leave your own COMFORT ZONE and to question previous patterns of action.
