Pupils come to the university for a day and take part in practical exercises in our laboratories or simply study with us. Just like real students, you have to make a selection in the run-up to the day:
- Pupils in grades 10 to 13 browse through our repertoire of degree courses and decide on a course that they would like to get to know better on site. With your "enrollment", you can practice deciding on a course of study that you will explore with us as part of "Studieren probieren". Along the way, you will get to know the authentic learning locations and take part in experiments or workshops (see download area for a list of topics).
- Pupils in years 8 and 9 primarily choose exciting experimental topics in the STEM subjects based on their technical inclinations and interests. Our catalog of topics in the download area offers many suggestions.
- In the Faculty of Social Sciences and the Faculty of Management and Cultural Studies, pupils take part in the regular courses for students. Laboratory experiments are not possible here.
In addition to academic exchange, students also get to know the university campus. This includes eating in the canteen at student prices, using the university library and enjoying the student atmosphere.
You should plan to spend around 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Studieren probieren.
