Commitment to equal opportunities (Gender Equality Plan)

In spring 2023, the Rectorate of the HSCG adopted this commitment to the Gender Equality Plan.

Support programs

  • Promotion of preliminary research at Saxon universities of applied sciences

The Saxon State Ministry of Science and the Arts (SMWK) supports the initiation of research projects and research into new technologies at the Saxon Universities of Applied Sciences (HAW). This supports the profile development of Saxon universities and strengthens their networking with research institutes, companies and other institutions.

The following brochure [PDF, approx. 26 MB] provides an overview with posters that were shown at the opening of the Year of Science on October 5, 2022.

In the period 2019-25, 100 research projects were and are (as of fall 2022) being supported at the HSCG.

Since no project conference could take place in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic, video clips of five selected projects were created with the support of Saxony5 and an external provider:

  • European Regional Development Fund (ERDF)

The task of the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) is to strengthen economic, social and territorial cohesion in the European Union by eliminating disparities between the various regions.

The large-scale project "Zittauer Kraftwerkslabor (ZKWL)" has been implemented at the HSZG since 2012. You can find more information on thisat in the ZKWL flyer [PDF].

  • European Social Fund (ESF)

The European Social Fund (ESF) is one of the EU's structural funds, which are used to improve social cohesion and economic development in the regions of the Union.

The aim of ESF funding is to create new and better quality jobs in the EU. This is achieved by co-financing national, regional and local projects aimed at increasing the employment rate, improving the quality of jobs and increasing integration in the labor market in the Member States and their regions.

At the HSCG, the ESF also supports young researchers.

    To the junior research groups

    To the doctoral scholarships
