Evaluation & Monitoring of studies/teaching

Data collection and analysis by means of evaluations

Quantitative and qualitative analyses form the focus of the assessment of the quality of studies and teaching.

The evaluation regulations forms the legal basis for uniform university-wide evaluations of degree programs and teaching with the following characteristics:

  • Course evaluations
  • Module evaluations
  • Program evaluations

Evaluation through a survey

In this context, students are regularly asked for their feedback as part of:

  • Surveys on lectures, seminars/exercises, laboratory work/field placements
  • Module and final module surveys
  • Surveys at the beginning and end of studies

With their anonymous participation in the surveys, students have the opportunity to make an important contribution to the qualitative development of teaching and degree programs.

Furthermore, the satisfaction of teaching staff is determined at regular intervals and with changing topics, e.g. in 2024 on the topic of psychosocial stress in the workplace.

In recent years, Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences has also participated in various surveys conducted by external contractors and cooperation partners, for example

  • Saxon student surveys and Saxon graduate studies (since 2008)
  • Nationwide graduate panel (2018)
  • EUROGRADUATE pilot survey (2018)
