    Chinese-German University of Applied Sciences (CDHAW)

  • Study in Mexico

    Students of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering/Computer Science - Mechatronics course - have the opportunity to participate in the Mexican-German University Cooperation (mdhk) program.

  • Fulbright study program in the USA

    The Fulbright Study in the USA program is aimed at German students and graduates of universities of applied sciences and university of applied sciences degree programs who would like to deepen their knowledge during an academic year or a combined "study/internship stay" and promote cultural exchange with the USA.

    Program offer

    "Study Program": a 9-month study stay at an American host school, if possible in the field of graduate studies (approx. 50 scholarships)

    "Alumni Program": a one-semester study stay at an American host university followed by a 3-5 month internship arranged by the Fulbright Commission. (approx. 5 scholarships, primarily aimed at younger students).

    Scholarship benefit

    • Transatlantic travel costs
    • Tuition fees at the American university
    • Subsidy towards living costs for the duration of the Study Program or Alumni Program: Scholarship holders contribute € 300 per month towards living costs; full scholarship holders are only available in small numbers to cover all living costs
    • Participation in the preparatory conference
    • Health and accident insurance (basic cover)
    • Scholarship funds for internship semesters and doctoral studies are not available, internships are only funded as part of the combined "Alumni Program"

    Students can obtain application documents from the International Office or online. For students, a pre-selection of applicants takes place at the university.

    May 15 to June 30 of the current year

    Immigration to the USA following a stay in the USA is not possible under the Fulbright Program according to American regulations.

    Prerequisite

    • general higher education entrance qualification or entrance qualification for universities of applied sciences
    • at least 5 semesters of study (at least 2 of which must be at a German university) at the time of departure (August/September of the current year)
    • Full-time student status at the US host university
    • good academic performance
    • good English language skills
    • German citizenship and permanent residence in Germany

  • Study in Kazakhstan

    A semester break in Kazakhstan?

    The German-Kazakh University makes this possible and offers individual two-week Bachelor's or Master's modules as part of its Flying Faculty.

    Every year, the International Office of the HSZG awards a travel grant to up to ten applicants, for which the actual travel costs of up to € 550 can be reimbursed after completion of the program.

     Required application documents for a travel grant:

    •  Confirmation of admission to a module from the DKU
    •  Proof of performance

  • Study in the Czech Republic or Poland (GFPS scholarship program)

    Every semester, the GFPS partner associations in Germany, Poland and the Czech Republic award scholarships for students and doctoral candidates to complete a study visit or a semester language course. Polish, Czech, Belarusian and Ukrainian students can apply for a stay in Germany, Germans for a semester in Poland or the Czech Republic.

    Since 1994, the Foundation for German-Polish Cooperation (SdpZ), which was established as part of the German-Polish Neighborhood Treaty, and the German-Czech Future Fund (DTZ) have been funding the scholarships. The ZEIT Foundation has made it possible for Belarusian students to study in Germany since 2004.

    GFPS scholarship holders benefit from

    • a financial scholarship that covers a large part of their living expenses and offers the opportunity to get to know local student life without financial hardship;
    • personal support from members of city groups, who provide assistance with finding accommodation, enrolling, opening a bank account and initial orientation;
    • Scholarship holders' seminars such as the City Days and the GFPS Scholarship Holders' Seminar Forum, which serve to exchange information about their own study projects and to network among scholarship holders.
