The university management, teaching staff and employees in the faculties, institutes and university administration have been working together for years to ensure and continuously develop the quality of studies, further education, research and administration. The quality policy of the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences is set out in the mission statement and the university development plan and set out in the form of quality guidelines described in the form of quality guidelines.
In addition, a series of quality assurance procedures, instruments and offers for students and teachers have been developed in recent years. students and teaching staff have been successfully tested and established in recent years (for a historical outline, see Milestones). It should be emphasized that all established degree programmes at the university are accredited (Bachelor, Master) or certified (Diplom), which provides proof of quality for these study programmes. Furthermore, the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences conducts regular teaching evaluations and much more.
The systematic application and control of the procedures and instruments of quality assurance and development in academic education follows the quality control loop and is the subject of the quality management system for teaching and learning. The coordination and supervision of the system is the responsibility of the Office of University Development and Communication (Quality Management department). The effectiveness of the system was confirmed in 2019 through successful system accreditation.
