Indo-German Center for Higher Education (IGCHE)

The Indo-German Center for Higher Education (IGCHE) is an association of Indian and German universities with the aim of giving students from both cultures an insight into the study and economic systems of their host countries. The Indian students take part in intensive integrated German language training as part of their studies at their home university until they begin their studies in Germany. After successful completion, the Indian students continue their studies at the partner university in German and live in Germany for the rest of their academic education. German students study in India in English. Students on IGCHE programs thus experience the foreign culture at first hand and can act as important catalysts for Indo-German cooperation after completing their studies.

The IGCHE network is made up of eight German and three Indian universities (as of August 2019).
