Research

An average of 10 million euros in third-party funding is used annually to advance technologies, develop new products, optimize processes, conduct research in social and societal hotspots - and to transfer the results as efficiently as possible. This money comes from public funds from the state of Saxony, the federal government and the European Union as well as from industry.

Through scientific work in technology, natural sciences and society, our university is able to enrich its teaching with the latest specialist knowledge. Research-relevant topics for Bachelor's, Master's and diploma theses as well as various internships involve students in research activities at an early stage and prepare them for a successful career after graduation.
