The application-oriented and basic research work carried out by our professors deals with a wide range of issues in the natural and life sciences as well as mathematics. The thematic focus on "energy and the environment" plays a major role here.
Many of our research projects are integrated into national and international research networks. We have also been successful in acquiring extensive third-party funding.
The Faculty's research activities are regularly presented to a wide audience at scientific colloquia, specialist seminars, workshops and conferences. We also offer laboratory tours, demonstration events and practical courses in the laboratories for organic and inorganic chemistry, biotechnology and general and technical environmental protection (MVSR research laboratory).
