Saxon universities of applied sciences celebrate their 30th anniversary with a ceremony in Zittau.
"The UAS overcome the boundaries between theory and practice, research and application, science and business!"
Bettina Stark-Watzinger, Federal Minister of Education and Research
Dresden, Leipzig, Mittweida, Zittau/Görlitz and Zwickau - five locations that stand for traditional and high-quality higher education in Saxony. They formed the foundation for the new universities of applied sciences founded in 1992 as part of the restructuring of the Saxon higher education system. This year, the five Saxon universities of applied sciences can look back on 30 years of existence.
A good reason to celebrate! Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences therefore cordially invited guests from all Saxon universities of applied sciences to celebrate together in Zittau on June 10, 2022.

Yes, that really is Liberec. And that's why it doesn't really matter whether you visit us in summer or winter, because the mountains are enchanting all year round. It doesn't matter whether you walk through the mountains and explore the numerous lookout towers, take a bike ride from one dam to the next or enjoy the 200 km of prepared cross-country ski trails or ski slopes of all colors and levels of difficulty in winter. And how do you get there? Quite simply. You can easily get to the Jizera Mountains or the Jeschken (Ještěd) by public transport.
