SPIN2030 Science Festival

The Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences will be participating in the SPIN2030 Festival on March 8 and 9, 2024, which will take place at the Dresden Technical Collections. A wide range of scientific disciplines and projects will be presented at the state-wide event, which was initiated by the Saxon State Ministry of Science, Culture and Tourism.

The university's program includes a wide range of activities:

• Exhibits: Interactive experiences with augmented reality and LEGO®, as well as insights into the Zittau power plant laboratory and its experimental facilities.
• Workshops: Practical workshops on topics such as domestic energy transition and the importance of civic engagement in the development of rural regions.
• Meet a Scientist: A dialog with Prof. Stefan Kornhuber on the transformation of the energy supply in the context of climate change and renewable energies.

The event is an important part of the initiative "SPIN2030. Science Land Saxony" initiative, which emphasizes the diversity and expertise of Saxony's research institutions. Admission to the festival is free and all interested parties are invited to visit the exhibitions and workshops. Accessible guided tours in sign language will also be offered.
