The Gerontological Symposium traditionally takes place in Görlitz every two years.

In July 2021, three event formats will be combined into a compact online workshop. This includes

  • the symposium on gerontological topics,
  • the transfer event of the CoCreation Lab "Factory of the Future" of the Saxony5 research association
  • and the open-topic GAT Symposium.

The research topics of ergonomics and the ageing and assistive society are equally focused on (including digital assistance systems, industry/working world 4.0, further training for older workers, reconciliation of care and work, new Bachelor's degree course in nursing at the HSZG, racism in nursing).
