Dipl. Ing. Christian Meyer (Limbach-Oberfrohna):

"OLD VILLAGES - NEW IDEAS. The diversity of rural building culture in transition"

The lecture is dedicated to the valuable historical building stock in the villages of Central Europe and Saxony. The focus will be on the efforts of the owners to make contemporary use of the valuable buildings. The process of social change in rural areas can also be seen in the results of the "Rural Building" competition. The lecture will explain the aims of the competition, show the problems and acknowledge the results. One aim of the lecture is to sensitize the viewer to the treatment of its valuable historical buildings, the other is to illustrate the ongoing processes of change.
