A solid infrastructure is the key to the economic success of the German-Czech-Polish border triangle. The division of Europe until 1989 posed major long-term problems for the region. While the densely populated urban areas are now relatively well connected, this is far less the case in rural areas. However, logistics and transport are among the most important economic factors in the region. Cooperation on major infrastructure projects should therefore be encouraged. The event is being organized by the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom in cooperation with the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences and the Wilhelm Külz Foundation.
