"Democracy gambled away?! revisited"

Can political education be fun?

Begin 22. May 2024 - 15:30 Uhr

Can political education be fun? Can you dance politics? What role does political education play in education? As part of the "Social Group Work" and "Current Issues" courses, social work students, with the support of the "Democracy and Diversity" working group, have organized a varied programme to get people talking about questions like these. In addition to various playful impulses, there will be a fishbowl discussion in which everyone is invited to join in the discussion about the understanding of democracy and politics. There will also be an opportunity to give feedback on a first draft of the principles of democratic living, working and studying at the faculty. In addition, we will show the animated short film "Obervogelgesang" and the project "Mensch, Görlitz!" will provide drinks and snacks at the DiskutierBAR.

Students, staff and professors of the Faculty of Social Sciences Law are cordially invited to the event "Demokratie verspielt?! revisited" on Wednesday, 22 May from 15:30 in the auditorium of the Bluebox (Hermann-Heitkamp-Haus).
