A life without your own apartment or house is almost unimaginable and yet it does exist! Doris Hotho from the AWO Oberlausitz (Görlitz) will report on her work helping the homeless. There are hardly any precise figures on those affected. In the statistical report "Households and Living Arrangements in the Free State of Saxony 2018" by the Saxon State Statistical Office, it is pointed out that people without a home are not recorded. What is the reality of life like for the men and women affected in Görlitz? How are they helped and how can they be helped?
The lecture series is open to all students and employees of the HSZG and is also aimed at interested members of the public. After each 45-60 minute lecture, there will be an opportunity for discussion with the speaker and the audience. The East-West College is an opportunity for dialog between experts and the public, science and practice in the border triangle.
