Transparent mechatronics lab: Vehicle diagnostics - what kind of data can I read out and what can I do with it?
Identification and testing of controlled systems using HiL (Hardware in the Loop). The HiL simulation serves as a simulation of the real environment of the controlled system, the parameters of the controlled system can thus be optimized in the laboratory (without the availability of the real environment).
The following two laboratories can be visited as part of the electrical engineering laboratory tours at 11:45 am and 2:15 pm
Meeting point: Information stand Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science House Z IV
EMC laboratory:
Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) has become increasingly important in recent decades because we are surrounded by a large number of electromagnetic waves. All devices and systems must therefore be able to withstand such interference up to a certain level without functional impairment. On the other hand, they themselves may only emit waves (interference radiation) up to a certain level. The metrological verification is very complex and requires special laboratories. Take a look at our EMC laboratory, it's worth it!
Smart grid laboratory:
How can the grids of the electrical energy supply of the future be equipped with the necessary intelligence to meet the challenges of the energy transition? How can the electrical power supply lines be protected against overload? What can be done when supply and demand for electrical energy do not match? Take a look at practical solutions in our laboratories.

Small soldering course:
Build your own circuit board in 10 - 15 minutes - assemble and solder an electronic cube. Get to know the steps required for production and talk to our dual study program trainees along the way.
In addition, our own devices and components made during the training period will be exhibited and demonstrated.
If you are interested in a dual study program at the HSZG, you can get to know our partner companies at the Zittau campus and secure a training place or practical partner.
Students who are looking for a partner for a working student job, internship or thesis are also in the right place here!
