As part of the joint project "SAXONY5" funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences (HSZG), Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, is seeking to fill a part-time position (20 hours/week) as a

Project assistant (m/f/d) SAXONY5 - Network Energy

to be filled for a limited period until 31.12.2027 .

In the "Saxony5" project of the Saxon universities of applied sciences (HAW), their activities for knowledge and technology transfer in particular are being strengthened, and transfer instruments (real events and virtual formats) are being developed, tested and consolidated. Transfer to society as the third pillar of university work will be sustainably established and strengthened through cooperation and networks.

The CELSIUZ co-creation lab (www.celsiuz.de) was created to present us in the East Saxony region in particular and to promote exchange with interested parties from business, society and politics. CELSIUZ offers space for creativity and - with the digital control station as a showcase for HSCG research - opportunities to visualize current and future research projects and results.

As part of sub-project 7 Energy, the network in the field of electricity and heat supply is to be further expanded and the transfer of knowledge strengthened through various event formats. The job holder (m/f/d) will be responsible for the following tasks in particular

  • Active network development and maintenance for the "heat and electricity transition" in East Saxony,
  • Planning, content design and implementation of online and on-site events on the topic of energy research and heat transition for internal and external target groups,
  • Selection and preparation of HSZG research results for transfer events and the interactive illustration of problems and solutions at the control center,
  • Support and further development of the CELSIUZ together with the project team,
  • Increasing the visibility of in-house energy research through target group-oriented communication in science, business and society,
  • Regular exchange with the project teams of all 5 participating universities.

The following knowledge and skills are required

  • Completed university degree (preferably in the STEM field, e.g. Bachelor's degree, FH diploma),
  • Commitment to event organization and management,
  • Commitment to building and linking networks, as well as in the organization and implementation of participatory networking events,
  • strong media skills,
  • Enthusiasm for the energy transition,
  • relevant professional experience in the above-mentioned field (also in the context of internships or employment as a research assistant).

In addition, the following are desirable

  • Knowledge of knowledge transfer, marketing or sales,
  • Experience in the application of creative methods in the context of workshops,
  • Flexibility in the organization of working hours with regard to the event formats to be carried out,
  • Ability to create appealing texts and presentations to convey technical content for different target groups and
  • a working knowledge of English.

If the personal requirements are met, remuneration will be paid up to pay group 12 TV-L. The first place of work is Zittau.
