The Russian financial system

The first publication in German on the Russian financial system.

A book on the Russian financial system is published in German for the first time. The world's leading specialist publisher Springer Gabler is publishing an essential by Prof. Dr.  Tatjana Viktorovna Nikitina from the St. Petersburg partner university of the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences.

Her former Zittau colleague Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. was responsible for the cooperation with the publisher, the editing and the foreword to the book. Clemens Renker. Dr. Angelika Schulz acted as editor.

The author gives a concentrated overview of the tasks of the Russian Central Bank. She describes the structure and development of the banking and insurance sector in Russia in the most comprehensive transformation process in Russia since the 1917 revolution. The Russian government has the historic task of equipping institutions such as the Russian Central Bank with legal regulations so that the competing commercial banks function as effective institutions for stability, growth and fair distribution in Russia.

The author closes an information gap about the Russian financial sector. Knowledge of the challenges in Russia forms the basis for business cooperation worldwide. This reduces prejudices and also warns against illusions. In this respect, this book is also an impetus for cooperation in the world to generate better knowledge, for  knowledge transfer and the transfer of knowledge into practice.

The book is aimed equally at managers and employees of banks, politicians and academics from the financial sector.

Prof. Dr. Tatjana Nikitina is a professor at the Saint-Petersburg State University of Economics. She is also Director of the Russian-German Center and the International Centre for Financial Market Research ICFMR.
