The HSZG has received a grant of almost 3 million euros from the federal government's FH-Impuls funding program.
The Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences has received funding approval for the first major impulse project from thefederal government's FH-Impuls funding scheme with just under 3million euros . The project "Efficient manufacturing processes for novel natural fiber-plastic composites" will run under the direction of Prof. Sebastian Scholz until 2021. It is the first of at least four research and development projects in the project LaNDER³ (Lusatian Natural fibre composites: Decentralized Energy, Raw materials, Resources and Recycling).
In the project, scientists from the faculties Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Institute for Surface Technology ;are working together to develop practical solutions. In collaboration with numerous, primarily regional companies, the HSZG is thus providing strong new impetus in the research and development of natural fiber-plastic composites throughout their entire life cycle - from raw material extraction to material recycling.
Further projects as part of the LaNDER³ project are currently in the final evaluation phase. Further information can be found on the project website at hszg.de/lander3/
