At the University of Applied Sciences Zittau/Görlitz (HSZG), Center for Innovation and Technology Transfer (ZIT), within the framework of the joint project "SAXONY5" funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), a part-time position (20 hours/week) is available at the earliest possible date as a

 Research Assistant (m/f/d)

- Reference: 36-2024 SAXONY5 - Transfer Management -

to be filled for a limited period until 31.12.2027 .

In the joint project "Saxony5" of the Saxon universities of applied sciences (HAW), their activities for knowledge and technology transfer in particular are being strengthened and transfer instruments are being developed, tested and consolidated. The transfer to society as the third pillar of university work is sustainably established and strengthened through cooperation and networks. We are looking for an enthusiastic member of staff to work on the tasks in the second phase of the project, in particular the analysis and further development of transfer instruments for the thematic focus "Experiential Transfer Spaces", with each of the five participating universities contributing to the project with its own thematic focus.

Transfer management includes the following tasks in particular:

  • Collecting and evaluating data and experiences on the transfer processes in the project and in particular on the "Experiential Transfer Spaces" mode,
  • Developing models and theories on the topic and setting up a transfer tool library in collaboration with the Saxony5 project team from all five participating universities,
  • Conceptualization and implementation of transfer instruments and their transfer to other sub-projects of the Saxony5 network,
  • Further development of the "CELSIUZ" transfer room of the HSZG(www.celsiuz.de) in the project team,
  • Responsible collaboration in the project organization,
  • Regular reporting and report preparation in the project, participation in the final reporting, including publication tasks.

The following knowledge and skills are required

  • Successfully completed academic university studies in the field of humanities, social sciences or economics (univ. Master's, Diplom, Magister or accredited Master's degree from a university of applied sciences or comparable degree),
  • academic knowledge and/or practical professional experience in the field of knowledge or transfer management,
  • knowledge and experience in quantitative and qualitative methods of empirical social research,
  • a confident manner and communication skills appropriate to the target group.

In addition, the following are desirable

  • empirical knowledge of research and technology transfer from scientific institutions to economic or social practice,
  • several years of professional experience
    • in the university sector or at non-university research institutions,
    • in the conception and development of a knowledge management system,
    • in knowledge and technology transfer,
    • in the operation of co-working and co-creation spaces or makerspaces,
  • a working knowledge of English.
