Employee Personnel Management (m/f/d) - Keyword: 10-2025 MA DPR -

The position will be filled on the basis of Section 14 (2) of the Part-Time and Fixed-Term Employment Act. Therefore, only applicants (m/f/d) who are not or have not previously been in an employment or service relationship with the Free State of Saxony can be considered. At the University of Applied Sciences Zittau/Görlitz, in the Department of Human Resources and Law, a position (40 hours/week) is available at the earliest possible date as

to be filled for a limited period of 2 years.

The post holder has the following tasks in particular:

  • Processing of employment contracts of academic and student assistants as well as making payments to the payroll office and preparing parliamentary inquiries,
  • Processing time recording correction requests,
  • Recording and processing absences such as
    • cases of illness,
    • cures,
    • time off to care for sick children,

including necessary time corrections in the system as well as preparation of reports for the payroll office and post-processing and reconciliation with the health insurance funds,

  • Processing of allowances for benefits affecting assets,
  • Computer-aided leave recording and control, including the creation of leave accounts and preparation of decisions as well as informing employees about the appropriate use of leave in accordance with collective agreements,
  • Processing maternity and parental leave matters and
  • Collaboration in digitization and process design in the department.

The following knowledge and skills are required

  • Completed commercial training or comparable,
  • knowledge of relevant legal regulations and laws in the area of responsibility such as the Continued Remuneration Act, Minimum Wage Act, Federal Leave Act, Part-Time Fixed-Term Contracts Act, Academic Fixed-Term Contracts Act,
  • professional experience in public administration,
  • very good oral and written expression in German as well as skills in target group-specific communication,
  • very good knowledge of MS-Office and relevant experience.

In addition, the following are desirable

  • Knowledge and experience of the university information system HIS SVA-GX / HIS Wikki, the SV- Meldeportal, as well as experience in the use of IT solutions in personnel management (e.g. My Intercard),
  • task-related knowledge of the legal regulations of the Free State of Saxony (Saxon Higher Education Act, Saxon Ordinance on Leave, Maternity Protection and Parental Leave, Saxon Working Hours Ordinance),
  • a working knowledge of English,
  • Interest in new trends and technologies in the field of work for application in the university.
