Research Management and Science Communication (m/f/d) - Keyword: FoWiKo -

The focus of the position is on

• Research and transfer management tasks at the university, including advising, coordinating and supporting researchers in project acquisition and implementation as well as helping to design and support (also digitalized) forms of knowledge transfer with a focus on social and cultural sciences,
• conceptual and practical tasks in science communication, including co-design of the website and other publication platforms of the university in the field of research and transfer, support of event management.

The following knowledge and skills are required

• a university degree related to the above-mentioned area of responsibility, e.g. in economics or social sciences, sociology, cultural studies or communication studies,
• scientific knowledge and/or practical professional experience in the areas of research and transfer management as well as (public, also digitalized) science communication,
• high communication and organizational skills.

In addition, the following are desirable

• Knowledge of project management, if possible in the field of publicly funded research,
• Affinity for digitization processes in research and transfer,
• knowledge of the research region and regional structural change in Lusatia,
• at least a good command of English and, if possible, other foreign languages relevant to the region (Polish, Czech, Sorbian).
