At the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences, a part-time position (30 hours/week) is available in the Studienkolleg as of 01.03.2025 as a

Teacher for special tasks / German as a foreign language (DaF) (m/f/d)

- Reference: 71-2024 DaF -

to be filled on a permanent basis.

The job includes the following tasks in particular:

  • Independent and autonomous implementation of courses,
  • carrying out performance assessments (preparation, implementation, evaluation),
  • Teaching basic intercultural knowledge,
  • Conducting examinations in the subject GFL (according to Saxon FSPVO, TI and WW courses),
  • Second corrections and oral examinations in other courses and subjects,
  • Participation in the fulfillment of administrative self-administration tasks of the Studienkolleg.

The following knowledge and skills are required

  • a university degree related to the above-mentioned area of responsibility (ideally in the field of GFL/German studies or supplemented by comparable extensive professional knowledge and experience),
  • pedagogical and didactic skills in teaching,
  • experience in teaching courses with foreign students in the context of study preparation,
  • Native speaker or excellent knowledge of German,
  • a high level of communicative and intercultural competence as well as sensitivity in dealing with foreign applicants.

The following are also desirable

  • Experience in dealing with modern media,
  • other language skills.

If the personal and professional requirements are met, the salary will be in pay group 10 TV-L, if a scientific university degree is available in EG 11. The 1st place of work is Zittau.
