Scientists and practitioners discuss quality and research management.
The workshop "Situation of Research Support at Smaller Universities - Review and Perspectives", organized by the project teams "QuiF" (Baden-Württemberg) and "QM-F" (Saxony), attracted lively interest nationwide. Weeks before the registration deadline, the 70 participant places had already been allocated - to interested parties from all over Germany. The event will take place in Karlsruhe on July 15, 2016.
The universities of applied sciences in the Free State of Saxony have been working on the topic of "Quality Management in Research (QM-F)" since 2012, and since the end of 2015 there has been cooperation with the project "Quality in Research - Optimization of Support and Service Processes (QuiF)", which is being carried out at the universities of education in Baden-Württemberg. Even if the universities' specialist focuses are different: The first networking meeting has already identified many parallels and "construction sites".
At this meeting, the Saxon universities of applied sciences will present their project results and define objectives for the implementation of quality standards in the field of higher education research. The organizers are already curious about the exchange of expertise on research conditions at other universities.
The representative of the HSZG, Sabine Scholz, will provide input for the world cafe table on the topic "WHAT IS RESEARCH MANAGEMENT AND HOW CAN IT BE IMPLEMENTED?" - in coordination with the partners of the Saxon universities of applied sciences.
