In cooperation with the Centre for eLearning (zfe) and the digitalization project D2C2, which is part of the Vice-Rectorate Education and International Affairs, a service has been established in which lecturers at the HSZG can share their experiences of digital teaching across faculties in order to promote the transfer of best practice approaches. At the center of the regular online meetings is a 10-minute input by a teacher or a research assistant from a didactically related project. Participants have the opportunity to ask specific questions to the input providers, contribute their own ideas, receive suggestions for their own teaching and discuss with each other.

Topic: Learning with problems - not fooling with solutions: Problem-based learning as a contemporary approach in the age of AI [Daniel Winkler]
How can students really learn if answers can be generated at any time? Generative AI systems such as ChatGPT challenge our teaching practice - but perhaps they also provide the best reason to rethink didactically. After all, concepts such as Problem-Based Learning (PBL) do not focus purely on reproducing knowledge, but on independent thinking, critical reflection and collaborative problem-solving - precisely the skills that are indispensable in the age of AI.
In a keynote speech, we will shed light on how PBL can help to sensibly accompany the use of AI tools such as ChatGPT instead of prohibiting it, and what opportunities problem-based learning formats offer for university teaching. We then want to discuss this together in a moderated discussion round:
The exchange is aimed at all those who are looking for effective, future-oriented teaching strategies - with or without AI.
