Springer publishes Zittau conference proceedings on high-tech manufacturing

The proceedings of the 1st and 2nd EADTC conference, which was initiated in Zittau, are now available as Open Access from Springer-Verlag.

The results of the 1st and 2nd European Advances in Digital Transformation Conference (EADTC), which was launched in Zittau on November 29, 2018, have now been published as open access in a conference volume by Springer-Verlag . The conference proceedings combine research results from the European Horizon 2020 research project iDev40, in which Prof. Sophia Keil and her team from the Faculty of Business, Economics and Industrial Engineering are also significantly involved.

The volume was edited by Sophia Keil (HS Zittau/Görlitz), Rainer Lasch (TU Dresden), Fabian Lindner (HS Zittau/Görlitz) and Jacob Lohmer (TU Dresden) with significant contributions from Josef Moser and Sabine Allmayer from Infineon Technologies Austria AG. The contributions deal with current challenges in semiconductor production that affect supply chains, production processes, human factors as well as software and hardware solutions. The joint efforts of industry and research partners from the iDev40 project thus demonstrate the important contribution they are making to strengthening semiconductor manufacturing in Europe.

Prof. Keil and her research group are also represented together with colleagues with their own contribution, which examines the competence requirements for employees in semiconductor production and in the course of digitalization. The publication of both the conference proceedings and the conference paper as Open Access was made possible thanks to the financial support of the Publication Fund of the Vice-Rector Research.
