Around 20 international students from the Private Studienkolleg Leipzig visited the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences to find out about the wide range of study options. These students are currently completing a preparatory course and will graduate next year with the Feststellungsprüfung. They will then have access to German universities.
The Private Studienkolleg Leipzig-Halle-Neuzelle, which is now part of the internationally active education company Rahn-Education, has been working closely with the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences for 20 years.
The students were accompanied by the director of the Studienkolleg, Dr. Al Meklef, and the lecturer for German as a foreign language, Mr. Neitzke. The main aim was to get to know the engineering faculties and the corresponding degree courses, as most of them are preparing for a technical degree: Automation Technology, Mechanical Engineering and Energy and Environmental Technology are the main focus for future students.
The KIA study program (study with integrated vocational training) also met with great interest. In recent years, several international students have already taken this route and completed an apprenticeship in a company in the region alongside their studies.
The Studienkolleg Leipzig of Rahn Education Study and Training is a private Studienkolleg. It is an affiliated institute of the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences, which also conducts the Feststellungsprüfung. The Studienkolleg Study and Training has been operating successfully for more than 20 years and is an institution of the non-profit school company, Dr. P. Rahn & Partner. Rahn Education is a non-profit educational company with 40 educational institutions in Germany and abroad. Approximately 7,200 learners are currently being educated and trained. The humanistic view of man is at the center of the work. Modern pedagogical concepts, practical orientation and an international focus offer learners a motivating environment and space to develop their personality.
