The "Sustainable Campus Building Kit System (BNC)" concept developed by Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences from 2014 to 2016 offers universities the possibility of an action-oriented, collaborative, participative and active design of a sustainable campus to strengthen and further develop the environmental and sustainability performance of a university.
The requirements of EMAS and DIN EN ISO 14001 are fulfilled and extended to include the specifics of universities. In addition to the core topics of university management and real estate & operation, the fields of education & transfer, cooperation & partnerships and participation of all students, employees and external partners are also included.
