TRAWOS Colloquium

Next week Wednesday, the TRAWOS Institute is once again organizing a colloquium.

Begin 10. July 2019 - 14:00 Uhr
End 10. July 2019 - 15:30 Uhr

Dear interested parties,

We would like to inform you today that the colloquium

      on July 10, 2019
at 2 pm (until 3.30 pm)
in 1.20 of the Blue Box (GI)

will be held by Tom Hohlfeld instead of Tobias Schlüter.

  • How much would you recommend living in Görlitz to someone?
  • What do you think of the media offerings in Germany?
  • How do you rate the credibility of these information offerings?
  • What would you like to see from politicians online and what would you like to see locally?

This selection of questions, together with a few others, provides a varied impression of the local
information and communication behavior of Görlitz residents. What may sound dry at first
reading turns out to be an impression rich in perspective:

  • of all age groups from 13 to 83,
  • of all income classes from up to 450 euros to over 4000 euros,
  • of all party affiliations of all facets of all political directions and
  • of all professional spheres from full-time employees, temporary and agency workers to students and job seekers.

Why is information and communication behavior being researched? The best way to answer this is with another question: What is more essential in the face of communal coexistence than the way we inform and communicate? During the colloquium, young researcher Tom Hohlfeld invites us to look at the results together. The focus will be on exchanging ideas with one another, whereby critical thoughts are particularly welcome, which can be garnished with ideas for solutions. A critical summary, including a solution model, has already been prepared by Tom Hohlfeld and may also be included in the good discussions.

Enclosed you will find a presentation that introduces the topic and familiarizes you with the basics. If you are interested, you can answer the questions yourself and bring them with you to July 10.

If you have any questions about the content, the researcher himself will be happy to answer them by e-mail . Or Maria J. Schubert.
