Learning IT skills at an early age is important in order to be able to operate in a digital society and remain capable of acting. As a place of learning, schools play an essential key and exemplary role by preparing young people for future requirements.
As part of the "Digital School Saxony" initiative, the SMK aims to strengthen computer science teaching in Saxon schools. One project here is the establishment of a state-wide school network.

We are pleased to invite you to our upcoming networking event, where schools, funded projects of the "Digital School Saxony" initiative, regional companies, research institutions and universities will work together to shape the future of education. Our initiative has clear goals in mind:

1. to awaken enthusiasm for computer science: We want to get young people excited about the world of computer science. We are particularly keen to support young girls and women and reduce drop-out rates in STEM degree courses.

2. preparation for the digital professional world: The requirements of the digital professional world are constantly changing. We want to prepare young people for these requirements in the best possible way so that they are able to be successful in the digital world of work.

3. support for new didactic courses: We are actively committed to the development, implementation and testing of new didactic teaching offerings in order to increase the quality of computer science education.

4. capacity building for teachers: Our teachers play a crucial role in education. We support them by implementing a targeted training concept so that they can optimally support their students.

Our event offers the opportunity to initiate joint projects in exchange formats that support schools in developing their computer science education. Together, we can shape the future of education and prepare young people for a successful future in the digital world.
