Then Görlitz is the right place for you! You can expect not only small groups and lecturers who are always available, but also course content adapted to the respective subjects for each matriculation with highly topical social references and modern didactic methods. You can expect the following specializations:
Why do people stay healthy, what are risk factors, how can prevention be achieved? These are some of the questions addressed in the module. Reference is always made to setting aspects (risk groups in different contexts) and health policy aspects. Systemic and salutogenetic approaches in the health sciences, health promotion and prevention in different phases of life as well as approaches to changing behavior and relationships in health contexts and health communication are dealt with in depth.
How can health be promoted in the company setting, where are the stumbling blocks when introducing a BGM and what does all this have to do with me? The basics of OHM are developed in various modules and individual aspects are implemented in practical projects. New management theories are transferred adaptively to the aspects of healthy leadership. In the individual examination of aspects of personal health behavior, insights become tangible and comprehensible.
Students acquire in-depth knowledge of the connection between cognitive, emotional and action determinants in basic, but also in health-relevant situations and structures. The multi-causal interactions between the individual, social action and social structures are analyzed on the basis of theory and against the background of current events and applied to health science practice. The focus on communication is trained in a separate module through practical exercises and feedback as a soft skill.
How much effectiveness is needed in healthcare and how can this be achieved? What methods exist for measuring benefits and how can health economic analyses be carried out? These and other questions are covered in the health economics modules. There is also a special focus on teaching leadership theories and project management.
The module answers questions relating to the alignment of operational activities with market requirements and deals with strategic and operational marketing planning, e.g: How can corporate or business models be innovatively developed taking into account predictors and paradigms of market-oriented strategic corporate management? What are the basic principles, framework conditions and objectives of healthcare marketing? How can corporate and marketing objectives be mapped using a balanced scorecard?
The specific requirements of innovative and modern personnel work are dealt with. From personnel requirements and management to employee motivation and salary setting, the basics of personnel management are taught. The current challenges in the healthcare sector and the resulting challenges for personnel management are discussed. Aspects of change processes are made comprehensible and tangible in a simulation game.
Students will be able to transfer the basic principles of certain risk processes to everyday working life. They have become familiar with the risk and error potential in hospitals and are able to identify and evaluate risks through suitable measures and develop proposals for measures to minimize them.
