There are many views on the question of what makes a successful leader. One thing is certain: leading a company means making a large number of strategic and operational decisions that require specialist knowledge. Last but not least, managers must be open to change, as more and more companies are becoming more digital or are marketing their products in other countries. The part-time Bachelor's degree program in Business Management qualifies you as a future manager in business, especially for small and medium-sized companies. In 2.5 years, you will acquire the necessary management knowledge for various business areas in a combination of self-study and attendance phases.
The Business Management course is aimed at business economists/commercial specialists and master craftsmen with a recognized qualification (HWK, IHK, VWA, Fachschule, Bankakademie) who have professional experience and want to deepen their knowledge of business management without having to leave their professional career.
The course comprises five three-day attendance phases per semester and around the same number of transfer days, during which you apply the newly acquired knowledge in your everyday work. In addition, there are around 15 hours per week for self-study.
You can expect the following modules, among others:
The course comprises 20 modules and the Bachelor's thesis, subject to the recognition of 60 ECTS credits. Each module concludes with a performance record (written or oral examination) or a document/transfer work (application of your professional practice) in guided self-study.
You will acquire the course content primarily through self-study and in the attendance phases. The workload during self-study is approximately 15 hours per week. There are five attendance phases per semester, primarily at the Dresden Chamber of Crafts, each lasting three days (Thu-Sat).
The tuition fee for the 1st to 4th semester amounts to a total of 13,700 euros. The amount includes: Enrolment fee, attendance study documents (scripts), module examinations and the semester fee for the standard period of study of 5 semesters.
An additional examination fee of 800 euros is charged in the 5th semester. The amount includes: Taking the final examination and the supervision and assessment of the Bachelor's thesis. All prices are final prices, as educational services are currently VAT-free.
Whether the course will be offered depends on the number of students enrolled and unfortunately cannot be guaranteed.
