Certificates for graduates of the Studienkolleg Zittau

Graduates from 17 countries bid farewell with cultural highlights

Recently, 42 graduates of the Studienkolleg were presented with their certificates in the festive atmosphere of the town hall of the city of Zittau. They come from 17 countries, including Indonesia (the largest group with 12 graduates), Poland, Morocco, Russia, Nepal, Bangladesh, Bolivia, China, Jordan, Cameroon, Romania, Syria, Tajikistan, Thailand, the Czech Republic, Ukraine and Vietnam and completed the "Examination to determine the aptitude of foreign and stateless applicants for admission to higher education in the Federal Republic of Germany" (Feststellungsprüfung) in the specialization courses "Technology and Business" and the "German Language Test for Admission to Higher Education for Foreign Applicants" (DSH).

With their successful completion, the Studienkolleg graduates have cleared the first hurdle and, with a great deal of effort and diligence, have acquired knowledge of the German language that forms an excellent basis for successful studies at a Saxon university. The graduates' study aspirations range from business administration, molecular biotechnology, chemistry, electrical energy systems, automation and mechatronics, energy and environmental technology, computer science, mechanical engineering, ecology and environmental protection, economics and languages, economics and computer science to industrial engineering and housing and real estate management.

The best graduates of the college are Ayana Ochirova from Russia with an average of 1.5 and Linda Rosita Hellena Hehanussa and Jordie Rinsyaputra with an average of 1.6. The latter two come from Indonesia.

It is particularly pleasing that numerous graduates of the Studienkolleg would like to study at the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences.

This year, the cultural entertainment for the ceremony was provided exclusively by foreign students from the university. Special highlights of the event were the musical accompaniment on the grand piano by the Indonesian student Jordi Rinsyaputra, who played Brahms' Hungarian Dance No. 5 with four hands together with his computer science teacher Matthias Leipert. This was followed by a wonderful dance and song performance by Indonesian students. Another musical interlude was performed jointly by PhD student from Kazakhstan Anastasia Mukhina on the flute and Business Administration student Yekaterina Litvin on the grand piano.
