Research Assistant "AI4ActiveAge" (m/f/d) - Keyword: - AI4ActiveAge -

to be filledfor a limited period until 30.06.2025.

The above-mentioned BMBF joint project AI4ActiveAge is about better understanding the current situation of older people in their homes and being able to provide them with individual assistance in their everyday lives. However, as users' life situations are constantly changing, the necessary flexibility can only be achieved if the technology directly involves people and adapts to their needs. The aim is therefore to promote health and a self-determined, safe life on the basis of a self-learning AI-supported software platform.
The task of the Institute "Health, Ageing, Work, Technology" (GAT) at the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences (HSZG) is to develop, implement and evaluate a training program for professional users (employees of the housing industry, craftsmen, etc.).
The position includes the following tasks in particular

  • Development of a training program for the application of the self-learning AI-based software developed in AI4ActiveAge for individual everyday assistance for older people,
  • Implementation of these training programs for professional users,
  • Evaluation of the training programs,
  • Documentation of the research results and reporting,
  • Participation in service consultations and events with the other project partners and with the head of the sub-project at the HSZG site,
  • Networking in the WiR project ZukunfTAlter,
  • Reporting, public relations and scientific dissemination,

The following knowledge and skills are required

  • Completed scientific university degree, preferably in health sciences, social sciences or gerontology,
  • Expertise in scientific work and scientific communication,
  • sound knowledge of AAL and housing in old age,
  • sound knowledge of empirical social research methods,
  • communication skills, creativity and interdisciplinary thinking,
  • a high affinity for using digital communication and interaction tools,
  • Interdisciplinary thinking and willingness to work in an interdisciplinary team (with electrical engineers, computer scientists, economists, etc.).

In addition, the following are desirable

  • Initial experience in the implementation of research projects and in scientific work, also in the context of student or research assistant activities,
  • Experience in the documentation, presentation and design of scientific contributions and the development of training materials.

Further information

If the personal requirements are met, remuneration will be paid up to pay group 13 TV-L. The first place of work is Görlitz.
