At the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences, in the Department of Studies and International Affairs (DSI), a position (40 hours/week) is available at the earliest possible date as a

Clerk for degree program and examination management (m/f/d)
- Reference: 18-2025 DSI SPO -

to be filled initially until 30.11.2025. In the event that the post holder takes parental leave, a corresponding extension is planned.

The post holder has the following tasks in particular:

  • Coordination of cooperation between the Examinations Office, administrative IT and the faculties in connection with the introduction of new degree programs and the design of the associated study and examination regulations in compliance with the SächsHSG, monitoring and processing of the entire change management in matters of study and examination regulations, monitoring of process and quality management, participation in the establishment and further development of cross-faculty study and examination regulations,
  • Implementation (enforcement) of examination regulations for selected degree programs with the help of the corresponding database-based software (currently HIS-POS, later HISinOne/EXA), creation of transcripts of records, certificates, graduation certificates, diploma supplements, etc., implementation of grade recognition for international double degree programs,
  • Content management of the module catalog and support for process and quality management, mapping of study and examination regulations in the module database and publication in the module catalog as well as optimization of the module structure and module management in relation to the introduction of a new examination and event management system, subsequent maintenance of the same,
  • Informing and advising staff and students on examination law issues, coordinating the process of recognizing academic achievements,
  • Supporting the Central Examination Board in procedural matters, taking into account the Administrative Procedure Act (VwVfG), preparing decisions and participating in the drafting of procedural regulations and resolutions, independent preparation of notifications.

The following knowledge and skills are required

  • University degree in economics/administrative sciences or related fields,
  • specialist knowledge of administrative law,
  • Knowledge of business processes in public administration and the application of the Saxon Higher Education Act and VwVfG,
  • knowledge of enrollment, study and examination regulations,
  • Confident use of Office software,
  • excellent written and spoken communication skills,
  • a working knowledge of the English language.

In addition, the following are desirable

  • Basic knowledge of database management of university-specific software programs,
  • Experience with QM systems,
  • Experience in university administration and university structures,
  • Experience with campus management software or similar IT systems.
