"Plato's allegory of the cave is about the fact that we humans spend most of our time moving around as if we were in a cave, that we keep repeating the same thoughts, feelings and worries," muses Dr. Maik Hosang. For the challenges of the future, however, we need people who step out of the cave and develop creative solutions.
The research project "Experience Economy in Cultural and Health Tourism" is investigating the extent to which a new form of experience tourism can help to unleash creative potential. According to the motto: away from consumption, towards creativity and self-discovery. To this end, Maik Hosang, research officer at the Faculty of Management and Cultural Studies, wants to exploit the potential of Lusatia. In the future, creative companies and new forms of tourism should be able to establish themselves here. Film off:
