The Saxon Film Academy launches on March 22.
Now the time has come. On March 22, 2022, the Saxon Film Academy will begin its first "Film Production Assistance" course in Görlitz. The Saxon Film Academy was founded with funding from the Free State of Saxony and the support of the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences as the responsible educational institution.
Those who are quick to decide can still apply for one of the few free places on this course until mid-March 2022.
The "Film Production Assistance" course consists of a six-week theoretical part with topics as diverse as film technology, project management, financing, calculation, copyright, sustainability management and team development. Experienced personalities from the film industry will offer their in-depth specialist knowledge in short, continuous blocks of two to five days. They come from Leipzig, Berlin, Babelsberg and Hamburg. The list of films in which the lecturers of the Saxon Film Academy have worked is long. Well over 200 television and cinema productions.
The six-week theory part is followed by a one- to two-month internship at a major film production company. The "Film Production Assistance" course is a full-time course and ends with the completion of the internship and a successfully passed exam with a "Film Production Assistance" certificate at the beginning of August 2022.
For the training at the Saxon Film Academy, participants should bring flexibility and a passion for film.
