The previous didactic concept of the Manufacturing Management module at the Faculty of Business, Economics and Industrial Engineering, which is described under "Explanatory videos by students for students in the field of production optimization", cannot be implemented due to the current suspension of face-to-face teaching.
Therefore, teaching notes, such as those used at distance learning universities, are used to implement digital teaching. With these written and visualized short learning units, it is possible to enable university teaching independent of time and place. If these are additionally enriched with elements of mobile learning such as microteaching videos, podcasts, learning snacks etc., completely new possibilities for presenting information in a way that promotes learning are created. In the current course, microteaching videos created by students from previous years on the topic of production optimization are even used for illustration purposes. The aim of these microteaching videos is to present difficult content in a simple and essential way in order to convey specialist knowledge to the viewers.
To check learning success, each teaching letter can be completed with tasks to check understanding. At the end of the semester, these solutions can be used, for example, to document and reflect on learning as part of a learning portfolio.
