Prof. Dr. Gerald Hüther is a neurobiologist and well-known author of numerous popular science books. His book "Every child is gifted" is now on bookshelves all over the world. Hüther is one of the most renowned brain researchers in Germany. He was born in Gotha in 1951, studied in Leipzig and gained his doctorate in Jena before moving to the Max Planck Institute for Experimental Medicine in Göttingen. Gerald Hüther is primarily interested in early experiences in human life and their influence on brain development, which primarily includes emotional reactions such as fear and stress. Hüther publishes his findings not only for experts, but also in non-fiction books that are easily accessible to laypeople.
On April 12, the 3rd Education Congress of SCHKOLA, the research focus Transformation Processes of the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences and the Ideenfluss e.V. invited guests to the Kulturbrauerei Görlitz. There, Hüther gave a lecture on "Education in the age of globalization and digitalization: How can schools and universities master the new challenges" in front of an audience of hundreds.
