Research Associate (m/f/d)

initially limited until 05.10.25. In the event that the post holder takes parental leave, a corresponding extension is planned.

The "JuBReg" / "YVA" project promotes the participation of young people in structural change against the backdrop of the Coal Regions Structural Strengthening Act and the Lusatia 2050 development strategy. By means of a variety of participation formats, pupils, students and trainees are to make their region so accessible to them that they identify more strongly with it and thus develop prospects for staying or returning. A liveable region in the border triangle D-CZ-PL is a European one and needs the perspective of young people. This is why the project focuses not only on the Lusatian mining district but also on the Neisse Euroregion in order to develop a cross-border understanding of the future with a view to structural change. Participation formats such as Youngster Agency, Future Camps/Productions, Future Guides and Future Congress actively involve the young generation in shaping the transformation processes. In doing so, they are making their own future opportunities visible in a shared living and working space in Lusatia/the border triangle. As a European coal-mining region, Lusatia and the border triangle should also become an attractive model region for sustainability in business, society and culture from the perspective of young people and thus an expression of a successful Green Deal.
