HSZG is Saxony's most popular university

The HSZG is once again in first place in StudyCheck's university ranking.

With the StudyCheck university ranking, Germany's largest university evaluation portal presents the most popular universities. In the category "Overall Ranking 2020 in Saxony", the HSZG once again achieved first place. This means that the HSZG has been the most popular university in Saxony for three years. Only in 2017, the year in which the HSZG was included in the ranking for the first time, did it take second place.

Overview of the HSZG's rankings since 2017:

2017 | 2nd place overall ranking in Saxony and 15th place overall ranking in Germany

2018 | 1st place overall ranking in Saxony and 7th place overall ranking in Germany

2019 | 1st place overall ranking in Saxony and 6th place overall ranking in Germany

2020 | 1st place overall ranking in Saxony and 23rd place overall ranking in Germany

Among many others, we are particularly pleased about these reviews:

"Good focus on studies, great atmosphere"

Richard about the Diploma in Mechanical Engineering:

"I'm now in my 6th semester and am happy to be involved with the university. The atmosphere is very pleasant, the professors are very accessible, friendly, open and competent. Even if not everything is perfect, the course is really fun and I noticed in the practical semester how well the preparation works. If you're not looking for student life alá Berlin, if you want to be rewarded for your hard work and not be pointlessly sorted out, if you want to take advantage of the environment, I recommend you take a closer look at the university!"

"Very good combination of theory and practice"

Katrin on the Integrated Management Master's program:

"In addition to theoretical knowledge, the lecturers also impart their own practical experience and give tips on implementation. You have the chance to put theory into practice yourself in various modules, with good support from lecturers and practice partners."

"Relevant for the future"

David on the Master's degree in Management of Social Change:

"Particularly in times of demographic change, advancing digitalization, global challenges and political, social and economic upheaval, Germany (or Europe) needs experts who can grasp upcoming trends and develop appropriate coping strategies. The topics covered in the degree program are diverse and absolutely relevant to the future. Despite the plurality of content, there is the opportunity to specialize (organization, social affairs, ecology / society, politics, administration). If you know why you have chosen this subject and what you want to do with it professionally, all doors are open to you in research, politics, innovation, consulting/communication and business - at the highest management level. My degree took me from assessment center management to middle management and executive management (C-level) and finally to freelance self-employment. I have never regretted my choice of study for a second and I can only recommend anyone who wants to deal with transformation processes and the management of socially significant developments to apply for the Master's program.

The course deals with all important future topics at a high academic level and is largely free of dogma.

"Very good university"

Maxi about the Bachelor's degree in Social Work:

"The university has very good lecturers and good course content: I like going to this university! The library has a wide range of specialist literature and you get very good advice. In general, the university is very modern and accessible."

"The benchmark for energy technology"

Christoph about the Energy and Environmental Engineering degree program

I would recommend the course to anyone. It teaches all the important content that is often required in industry. Furthermore, many of the professors are from the TU Dresden and therefore assume a high level. The course content is taught in an understandable way through many internships.

Based on a total of 40,320 student evaluations, the HSZG not only took 23rd place in the nationwide university ranking with a score of 8.90, but is also Saxony's most popular university. Many thanks to all the hard-working students who took the time to evaluate their HSZG despite the stress of exams and everyday university life!
