With the new Bachelor's degree course in Electrical Engineering Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences is paving the way for a modern engineering education in the field of electrical engineering that meets the future requirements of engineers and the needs of the job market. The new degree course will increase the attractiveness of the course through individuality and interest-oriented options.

Students can choose between the three fields of study Mechatronics, Automation/Industry 4.0 and Intelligent Networks / Systems. Integrated compulsory elective modules, such as in the field of computer science, provide optimal opportunities for students to tailor their studies to their own interests and inclinations. This allows students to actively shape their own studies.

The course can also be completed in cooperation with a company, either as an integrated training course (KIA) or as a practical course (_KIAdirekt). These forms of study are becoming increasingly important, as they allow students to gain direct insights into the world of companies and actively participate in the value chain during their studies. The new offer is completed by the new Master's degree course in Electrical Engineering starting in the winter semester 2025/2026. The Master's degree course has a duration of four semesters and students can choose between the specializations Mechatronics and Intelligent Networks / Systems.
