Representatives of the TRAWOS Institute, together with the Alliance of Lusatian Municipal Equal Opportunities Officers in Brussels
From October 24-27, 2023, representatives of the TRAWOS Institute have been invited to Brussels together with the Lusatian Alliance of Municipal Gender Equality Officers. Together with European partners, they want to discuss topics such as the implementation of the EU Gender Equality Charter or climate justice and gender equality in EU's transition policy against the backdrop of regional challenges. The main focus will be on how transition can be promoted and facilitated.
The Alliance of Municipal Equal Opportunities Officers is a good example of these guiding principles - through the transfer of experience, it is possible to create visibility, exchange experiences and reach different structures in structural change practice. The network of municipal gender equality officers is supported by the TRAWOS Institute. The institute has been researching gender-sensitive regional development processes since 2015. The interlinking of scientific practice and regional stakeholders in Lusatia is an example of how successful structural change practice can take place.
The trip was commissioned by the Saxon State Ministry of Justice and for Democracy, Europe and Equality (SMJusDEG) - Saxony Liaison Office Brussels in cooperation with State Secretary Dr. Gesine Märtens, Minister Katja Meier and the Ministry of Social Affairs, Health, Integration and Consumer Protection of the State of Brandenburg (MSGIV).
