Exchange Digital Teaching HSZG - Topic: studienerfolg@saxHAW at the HSZG (the project introduces itself)

In cooperation with the Centre for eLearning (zfe) and the digitalization project D2C2, which is part of the Vice-Rectorate Education and International Affairs, a service has been established in which lecturers at the HSZG can share their experiences of digital teaching across faculties in order to promote the transfer of best practice approaches. At the center of the regular online meetings is a 10-minute input by a teacher or a research assistant from a didactically related project. Participants have the opportunity to ask specific questions to the input providers, contribute their own ideas, receive suggestions for their own teaching and discuss with each other.

Begin 18. October 2024 - 11:40 Uhr
End 18. October 2024 - 12:30 Uhr

The exchange in the format "Austauch Digitale Lehre HSZG" revolves around the following topics: digital teaching formats, methods and tools, e-assessments, future skills as well as challenges and tips for the digitalization of studying and teaching. -- Presentation of the catalog of measures to increase student success --
[project team] "Our four-member project team is looking forward to presenting the catalog of measures to increase student success at our university! This catalog combines a number of innovative approaches that are specifically tailored to the needs of students in order to make the study process more efficient and successful. The key points of our presentation include

  • Introduction of an orientation semester: a specially developed orientation semester is designed to help new students identify their strengths, better understand course content and choose their study path more consciously. It is designed as a transitional phase in which the basics are taught and individual advice is offered.
  • Renewal of the Studium Fundamentale: We are presenting a revised version of the Studium Fundamentale that teaches students interdisciplinary skills. This redesign focuses on practical topics and soft skills that are essential for later career entry.
  • Team building and digital media: Measures to strengthen social integration, such as mentoring and tandem programs, are central components of our concept. These programs are designed to promote exchange between students through targeted team-building measures and digital media. Through mentoring and tandem partnerships, students from different year groups and disciplines are networked to enable support and knowledge exchange. At the same time, social cohesion is strengthened and a sense of community is promoted.

We cordially invite you to join us in discussing the next steps for a successful future at our university!"
