Economic relations are becoming increasingly global and interconnected, which not only presents German companies with major challenges in international competition. In order to invest abroad or establish international partnerships, executives are needed who, in addition to their management knowledge, also have excellent language skills and intercultural competencies.

In our Master's program in International Management, you will study together with students from all over the world. A special focus is on the transformation economies in Central and Eastern Europe. This cooperative master's program is the only one of its kind in Saxony and is offered together with the International University Institute Zittau of the Dresden University of Technology.

In addition, you have the opportunity to obtain a second European Master's degree without making your studies longer: Agreements with partner universities in the Czech Republic, Poland and Hungary enable you to study across borders via guest semesters.

  • Admission requirement
    • Bachelor's degree or higher (university, university of applied sciences, BA or other European university)
    • major field of study in economics
    • for foreign applicants: German language examination for university admission (DSH)
    • Language skills: The teaching modules are predominantly held in German, individual English-language courses are possible (English language skills at level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages are required. Proof is provided, for example, by submitting a certificate for a completed language test, such as the Internet-Based TOEFL test, the Paper-Based TOEFL test, the Computer-Based TOEFL test or the IELTS test, unless English is the applicant's native language and can be proven with a school-leaving certificate).
  • Contents

    The Master's degree program primarily provides you with knowledge and skills in the areas of management and international management, intercultural skills and foreign languages.

    You will acquire specialist knowledge by choosing specializations in international management, project management, environmental management, logistics management, finance and accounting as well as management sciences.

  • Study program
    • 1st semester: Basic studies
    • 2nd to 3rd semester: Specialization through elective specializations and semester abroad (optional)
    • 4th semester: Master's thesis and defense

    As a Master's graduate in International Management, you can work for international companies in various fields of activity, such as management, logistics, business organization, marketing, human resources, controlling or sales.
