Podcast episode on the degree program

I wanted more than the purely economic subjects such as business administration, economics, financing, etc.. It was important to me to be able to work practically and to learn about construction-related topics in real estate. All of this is combined in the "Housing and Real Estate Management" course at Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences. In addition to modules such as business administration, real estate law and statistics, we had modules such as building construction theory, building renovation and construction operations, in which we learned a lot about buildings, building materials, constructions and construction site processes. In addition, there were computer-based modules in which we were taught how to use programs such as CAD, Visio, MapPoint etc.. We also had to build models ourselves as part of our module plan and carried out various laboratory practicals. The combination of business and construction engineering teaches you the basics of construction engineering expertise, as well as how to work with construction plans, and makes the course very varied.
